Some weddings arrive quickly. Others take time.
This one took nine years.
When these two first planned their wedding nearly a decade ago, life had other plans waiting for them first. A growing family, building a home together, creating a life side by side, the wedding day was quietly postponed while the important things unfolded in real time.
But some things stayed constant.
Including the dress.
Carefully kept away all these years was the wedding dress she picked out nine years ago, timeless, untouched, and finally worn on the day it was always meant for.
There was something deeply meaningful about documenting this wedding on film. Not for nostalgia’s sake, but because film asks you to slow down. To pay attention. To trust moments as they happen.
So we gave ourselves a challenge:
one roll of 35mm Kodak Portra 400.
Thirty-six frames to tell the story of a wedding nearly a decade in the making.
Sometimes weddings aren’t about the beginning of a story.
Sometimes they’re about honoring everything that already exists.
And honestly, one roll was enough.
