Some places don't need much time to make an impression, and Lecce is definitely one of them.
We only spent around ten minutes wandering the streets of Lecce's old town with our couple, but it was more than enough. Every corner seemed to offer something different, warm limestone buildings glowing in the evening light, quiet side streets, beautiful architecture, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and take it all in.
There wasn't a plan or a long list of locations. We simply walked, chatted, and photographed whatever caught our eye. Those are often our favourite sessions. Relaxed, unhurried, and focused more on the experience than trying to create something overly posed. It meant the photographs felt natural and effortless.
Lecce has a timeless quality that's difficult to describe until you've been there. The soft colours, textured stone, and winding streets create the perfect backdrop without ever feeling like a backdrop at all. It's one of those places where every direction you turn offers another beautiful frame.
Sometimes the best photographs don't come from hours of planning, they come from simply being in a place that inspires you. Ten minutes in Lecce was all we needed to create a collection of images that feels relaxed, elegant, and completely true to the evening we shared.
If you're planning a wedding or elopement in Puglia, we'd always recommend setting aside a little time to wander through Lecce. You don't need much, just the two of you, a beautiful town, and a few quiet moments together.
