One of the things I love most about film wedding photography is the way it captures light.
While photographing this wedding on film, I noticed some beautiful red halation appearing around bright light sources. Backlit moments developed a soft glow that added something completely unexpected to the photographs.
Halation is one of those characteristics of film photography that can be difficult to replicate digitally. It isn't perfectly predictable, and that's exactly what I love about it. It gives the images a sense of atmosphere and movement, making the light feel like part of the story.
For me, those little imperfections can be incredibly special. I'm not looking for every photograph to feel perfectly clean or technically flawless. I want the photographs to have character!
